Procell Therapy After-Care

  • Here are a few things to **remember** after your treatment while those micro-channels remain:
  • **DO NOT** apply anything to treated areas for at least 90 minutes after unless it is provided to you by your certified ProCell provider with instructions. We strongly advise that nothing touches the treated area for the remainder of the day, evening and overnight the day of treatment. **This includes water.**
  • **DO NOT** touch treated areas with your hands, cellphone or any other foreign objects for at least 90 minutes after your treatment is finished! Irritations from these sources can cause allergic reaction or possible acne breakout.
  • **Avoid** direct sunlight for 72 **hours post treatment**. You may apply sunscreen the following day. **Wear SPF every day!**
  • Hydrate and moisturize your skin constantly to achieve the best results! Never let your skin dry out! If you experience excessive dryness in the days or weeks following your treatment, you can purchase additional post-treatment hydrating masks. We recommend purchasing the IS Clinical SHEALD cream in studio for your aftercare.
  • **Water** is the least expensive and most powerful advantage you can add to your daily skincare routine!

Procell Therapy Pre-Care

  • If you get cold sores regularly, taking acyclovir or valcyclovir starting one day prior to your microchanneling will reduce the likelihood of a breakout due to your treatment.
  • Discontinue retinol (2% or higher) or tretinoin at least 3 days prior to treatment.
  • No recent sun exposure or sun burns.
  • If possible, please arrive at the office without makeup on, and with a clean, (and for men a clean shaven) face.
  • If you’ve had Botox, Fillers or Threads injected you must wait at least two weeks before getting microchanneling, must be satisfied with the results before we can offer you any other treatments.
  • All client’s must be medically cleared for microchanneling treatments every 12 months. This is done through a company called Spa Kinect, which is a telehealth appointment, less than 5 minutes. We will send you information to get set up with a virtual meeting to be cleared before your service. If this is not done before your first service with us, we will need to cancel your appointment.

Saline Removal Pre-Care

  • All client’s must be medically cleared for saline removal treatments. This is done through a company called Spa Kinect, which is a telehealth appointment, less than 5 minutes. Saline Removal After-Care

**It is critical to follow all aftercare instructions to prevent complications, scarring and to achieve optimum results.  Please read carefully.**

  • **KEEP AREA CLEAN** and open to the air. Do not cover with a Band-Aid or anything else, leave open to air. Air/oxygen provides good and faster healing. You should not be touching the area at all but if you find yourself needing to please make sure your hands are exceptionally clean. Swelling, redness, and tenderness is normal post procedure. It is normal for the treated area to get darker the days after the service.
  • **CLEAN BY BLOTTING AREA** with saline wipes 3 to 4 times a day. NO ICE.
  • **DO NOT SOAK** the treated area in water. You can shower as normal but keep the area out of the shower spray the best you can and do not let the area stay wet for more than a few minutes. It is best to keep it dry but if you do get it wet gently pat dry.
  • **NO BATHING,** SWIMMING, SAUNAS, HOT TOBS, TANNING, OR EXERCISE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • **DO NOT** disrupt the scabbing process (i.e. no picking, scratching, etc.) All scabbing needs to fall off naturally and this can take 2-3 weeks to complete. If you force or pick a scab off, you will disrupt the process and possibly cause scarring. It is critical to keep the scabs on as long as possible to achieve optimum results.
  • **TREAT AREA WITH TLC.** DO NOT DO ANYTHING AT ALL THAT COULD CAUSE ISSUES OR PROBLEMS TO THE TREATED AREA.
  • **ONCE ALL SCABBING HAS NATURALLY FALLEN OFF**, apply one drop Vitamin E Oil at least every evening for up to 4 weeks, or until next lightening session. DO NOT start applying the Vitamin E oil **UNTIL** all scabbing has naturally and completely fallen off. It is our goal to keep the area as dry as possible until all scabs have naturally fallen off.
